Summer shoots come down to one thing: timing the light.

Quick note on summer, since it's here. Midday sun in June is brutal on a home. Blown out windows, hard shadows.

So I shoot early. First light is soft, the house glows, and we're done before it gets hot. Twilight works for the same reason on the back end of the day.

If you've got listings coming this summer, get them on my calendar now and I'll build the schedule around the good light. That's the whole trick.
